Prabhakar Gopalan is the organizer for the Product Austin Meetup, a group for anyone interested in learning, sharing about their journey in building and growing a Whole Product business. Their members are Startup Founders/CEOs, Product Managers, Product Designers and Product Marketers.

Why did you begin organizing this meetup?
The Whole Product is a deliberate, thoughtful, strategic and longer term view of building and scaling a product business. It answers what you do after the Lean Startup or even without it. Our Meetup focuses on this topic by bringing holistic product experts and practitioners who understand this idea.

What do you do when you aren’t organizing Meetups, professionally or in your free time?
I help Startup Founders with Product & Market Strategy Consulting, and teach The Craftsman PM (craftsmanpm.com) Workshop. Outside of work, I play with my two little kids and we read a ton of books.

What are you looking forward to most in the 2015 Austin tech and startup scene?
Austin startups gaining a lot more traction than ever before, many of them getting to the next stage of successful fund raising, and seeing some groundbreaking innovation.

What do you love about hosting at Capital Factory?
We have been fortunate to get Capital Factory as our host/sponsor. In a few months, we have 400+ members without any marketing. That has been possible only because of Capital Factory’s support, and the amazing ecosystem it has built to attract the startup audience in Austin and beyond.

Do you attend any other Meetups besides your own?
I attend Refresh Austin, CloudAustin, and the TechBreakfast.

What do you love about living in Austin?
One word – Tacos!
