10 lucky student startups at UT Austin will get to participate in the prestigious Longhorn Startup Lab student startup accelerator this Spring which includes a $1,000 cash grant, $5,000 in AWS Startups hosting credits and mentorship from some of Austin’s most successful entrepreneurs. This year there is a new twist — one very lucky startup will win a $25,000 investment at the end of the semester and a guaranteed spot in our Accelerator program.

The Longhorn Startup Lab is a free Accelerator for UT Austin student entrepreneurs to get you course credit, mentorship, and funding to work on your startup while you are still in school. More than 1,000 students have participated in our program since 2011 and startups have gone on to Accelerators such as Capital Factory and Y Combinator and funded by angel investors and venture capitalists. It happens in the Spring semester every and applications are open right now and any UT student or professor is eligible to apply.

The class Demo Day will be on May 3, 2018 at the Lady Bird Johnson Auditorium at the LBJ Library and that’s where the $25,000 Investment Challenge will be awarded to one of the 10 student startups in the class this semester! Apply now for your chance at $25,000!
