THE CENTER OF GRAVITY FOR ENTREPRENEURS IN TEXAS
Quantum Computing Event: An Introduction
Join us for this informative session about quantum computing in Austin, TX
Attendance is free!
Over the past year investment in quantum computing research and technology development has skyrocketed worldwide, as has interest in the potential of this revolutionary technology. D-Wave Systems, the first quantum computing company, continues to make rapid advancements and this past year released its 1000+ qubit D-Wave 2X system, which has been installed at the NASA / Google Quantum Artificial Intelligence Lab, Los Alamos National Laboratory and Lockheed Martin.
Recent benchmark results from Google on the D-Wave 2X demonstrated a 100,000,000 times speedup over a classical system for a specific type of problem, and numerous other studies showed the potential for the technology in areas ranging from database query optimization to portfolio optimization to deep learning.
Find out what impact this next era of computing will have, by joining us for an informative talk about quantum computing, D-Wave technology, software and tools, and potential application areas.
When Tuesday, April 12, 1:30 – 3:30 pm
Where Capital Factory, 707 Brazos Street Austin TX 78701. No need to register, all are welcome.

As a Google scientist commented in this Wired magazine article, the Wright flier barely got off the ground, but its trajectory through the air foretold a revolution. In Google’s quantum computing benchmark announced in December, they reported a 100,000,000x performance advantage for D-Wave over classical systems. The D-Wave 2X took a trajectory through a parallel universe…
