Kiwi Compute is creating “The Path to Python”, a free online tool that allows any kid to learn Python. Kids from all backgrounds and demographics will now have the opportunity to write their first lines of code in an affordable and accessible way. Kiwi is looking for individuals to help contribute to an amazing app that will provide a lasting impact.
While the app focuses on Python lessons and projects, Kiwi needs help building the Javascript solution that the app will be coded in. On the front end, it uses React/Redux and on the backend we employ Node, Express, and MongoDB. If you have even limited experience with any of these technologies, you can help!
Hosted by Capital Factory and partnered with US Ignite, the City of Austin and ATX Hack for Change, the Kiwi Hackathon will work on “The Path to Python” application and provide every kid with the opportunity to code. Read more about the project here.
