Capital Factory and General Assembly have teamed up to bring in a panel of some of the city’s best developers and hiring managers at top tech companies to answer all your questions on what the hottest languages are right now, what they look for in a candidate, where to brush up on skills, and tips to making the transition to a development role. We’ll follow the panel with a talk by our General Assembly Austin Career Coach who will cover the top tips and tricks for making your resume “tech friendly”, what skills are most in demand now, and how you can position yourself for your next role in tech!

Nicole immersed herself in tech about 5 years ago. She spent 3.5 years working for a software development company doing everything from running the daily operations of the office to recruitment, interviewing and onboarding of new employees. Currently, Nicole is our Outcomes Career Coach at General Assembly ATX. She supports graduates of the immersive programs as they transition into the next phase of their professional lives, helping them get connected to new opportunities, and providing them with career service support. Additionally, she spends time developing meaningful relationships with companies in town whether that’s working with them to identify top talent & hire GA grads or helping them identify opportunities to train/skill-up their existing team.
