Experimental Civics supported by the Mozilla Foundation will be hosting a “Gigabit 101” workshop.
What does the promise of a high speed internet network mean for your city/school/organization?
How can you help define the impact of this network on your community?
What is a Gigabit?
From enhancing public health and improving transportation infrastructure to bringing new opportunities for learning, high speed networks with their seemingly unlimited capacity and lightening fast connections can bring a lot of power to a community. But, what do you do with it? And, how can you actually leverage these connections to create opportunity and improve quality of life?
We’ll be leading attendees through a series of hands-on activities to help ground the concepts around Gigabit technology and how more folks can get involved. Our hopes are by attending a workshop like this is that anyone who is curious about what Gigabit applications are to anyone who wants to build a community project around this initiatve can participate.
