After working as a tech investment banker for two Wall Street firms from 1990 to 2003, I embarked on a career as a private investor, forming RSR Finance with two of my former clients in 2005. My partners and I have been the founding investors in two data center hosting businesses (one of which is now IBM’s Cloud Services division, and the other of which was sold to a large private equity fund) and four technology leasing businesses (two of which have now been sold to a large private equity fund), and have been early stage investors in six software companies (including four SaaS providers) that have each been acquired by large industry players. We focus on investments in data centers, cloud computing, web hosting, internet infrastructure (hardware, software and services), SaaS, and application development. In addition, we lease equipment of all types to the above industries and others. We also own or have investments in companies in manufacturing and financial services.
