This month, we are featuring Sean Duffy, Senior Partnerships Manager at Capital Factory, Brooke Turner, Program Director at DivInc, and Monica Morales, Partner and VP of Development at DivInc.
SPEAKERS
Sean Duffy is the Senior Partnerships Manager at Capital Factory, helping bridge the gap between startups and corporate innovators through strategic programming and community events. As a former classroom teacher, Sean is a passionate education and technology evangelist, community organizer and founder of EdTech Austin.
Brooke’s life work has impacted thousands of students, young women, and underrepresented colleagues through her career as a teacher, a partnership and marketing manager for National Instruments, a mentor for STEM programs in the Austin area, and the Program Director for DivInc, a non-profit startup accelerator specifically for underrepresented entrepreneurs. Brooke’s mission for her own tech startup, Kwaddle, is to give every child life-enhancing experiences and to support women in the workplace by providing easier access to high-quality, out-of-school enrichment opportunities for kids. Brooke won the 2018 Woman’s Way Business Award for Product Innovation, and Kwaddle was listed as Built In Austin’s 50 Startups to Watch in 2018.
Monica is Partner and VP of Development for DivInc, a nonprofit accelerator for early stage tech startups founded by underrepresented entrepreneurs. She brings more than 12 years of non-profit leadership, fundraising and marketing experience. She has served as Interim Executive Director and Market Director of the American Diabetes Association for Central Texas, Director of Marketing at Market Vision Culture Inspired Advertising and as Account Executive at Montemayor y Asociados Hispanic Advertising. Monica is passionate about bringing diversity, inclusion and equity to the tech ecosystem.
