Work side-by-side with me for two years running all aspects of Capital Factory’s operating businesses and investment funds. See everything I see. Meet everyone I meet. Then I’ll help you start your own company, launch your own fund, or find a leadership role at Capital Factory or one of our portfolio companies. Cash compensation is $125,000 the first year and $150,000 the second year. The rest is priceless!

You are at an inflection point in your life and career. You are an apprentice to the CEO, have full transparency across the company, and manage his internal and external tasks and communication. You are a high potential individual looking to explode your experience and network so that you can start your own company, join Capital Factory or another startup as an executive, or become a venture capitalist investor. I have a separate executive assistant to handle travel, scheduling and some administrative tasks.

If you are looking for a career Chief of Staff role, this isn’t the right fit for you.

Types of activities you will regularly participate in:

• Attending executive team strategy meetings and taking notes
• Helping team members who need to present to the CEO
• Creating a presentation for the CEO to use at a meeting
• Writing remarks for the CEO to deliver at a large event
• Drafting responses to press questions for the CEO
• Organizing a company meeting or executive offsite
• Traveling overnight to another city for meetings
• Taking on a special project and then handing it off
• Hosting VIP tours with F100 CEO’s and elected officials
• Interviewing potential employees
• Attending meetings on behalf of the CEO
• Daily standup meetings with the CEO

This is a two year commitment. You will start as the Assistant Chief of Staff reporting to the Senior Chief of Staff who was the Assistant before you. After one year you will take their spot and hire your replacement. After a second year, I will help you launch or find your next opportunity at Capital Factory or elsewhere.

Previous Chiefs of Staff have gone on to be the first employee at a venture backed startup that now has more than $100MM in funding, set up a new venture fund from scratch, and launched a chain of high-end pilates studios.
