The Defense Innovation Board is one of several independent federal advisory committees advising
the Secretary of Defense. The DIB makes its proposals through the prism of three major challenge sets:
people and culture; technology and capabilities; and practices and operations. Recommendations are
designed to be concise, actionable, high-impact, and swiftly delivered.

You are invited to attend the DIB’s upcoming Public Meeting at the Capital Factory or virtually. We will
be discussing the following topics: Workforce, Behavior, and Culture Subcommittee workforce issues,
recommendations for a Chief Digital Engineering and Recruiting Management Officer, Science and
Technology Subcommittee Biotechnology and Data Strategy for the Joint Pathology Center,
presentations from external experts, progress updates from ongoing projects, and updates from the
Department on the implementation status of its recommendations.
