🦾 Jonathan Bronson

Jonathan Bronson is a Managing Partner at J2 Ventures. Prior to co-founding J2, Jon was a Director of Acquisitions & Finance in the private equity group of D. E. Shaw, a New York based asset manager with over $50 billion in assets under management. Prior to D. E. Shaw, Jon was the Chief Operating Officer of the startup Backpack Health. Jon began his career at the Boston Consulting group. He holds a Ph.D. in computational biology from the chemistry department of Columbia University and a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.

J2 Ventures invests in dual-use defense technology. They target areas where the U.S. is falling behind China and Russia and the government needs to spend to compete. Their team has a unique combination of defense, finance, and technology experience that lets them help companies navigate the government contracting process from SBIRs to Programs of Record. The types of companies/technologies that are most interesting to Alex and Jon right now are AI/ML, Advanced Materials, and health tech that soldiers and vets can use.

👩🏽 Ileana Gonzalez

Ileana is the tip of the spear, constantly meeting entrepreneurs and innovators on the bleeding edge of technology and business in the hottest markets in the US for tech and innovation. She drives deal flow to Capital Factory Ventures (CFV) and pitches her startups to the Partners. Ileana manages Capital Factory’s most important relationships in Austin and San Antonio with accelerators, venture funds, universities, and other ecosystem partners.

Once startups are onboarded with Capital Factory Ventures, Ileana helps maintain the relationship with startups and is constantly on the lookout for opportunities to get them exposure to potential employees, investors, customers, partners, and other VIP’s through Capital Factory.
