Ian Lucey, Lucey Fund

Ian is the founder of the Lucey Fund, a Venture Technology firm that builds new products for early-stage startups. The Lucey Fund has offices in Dublin, London, Spain & USA and have invested in over 60+ startups over the past 3 years. In 2015 alone the Lucey Fund will have invested in 30 new projects. At the Lucey Fund we have deep expertise in product and tech development. Our model works well for startups that are looking for a tech partner or for tech development, but currently do not want to spend valuable capital on building out their own development team, or are struggling to do so. Our portfolio includes clients who are active across a diverse range of sectors, and varies from teams completing accelerator programs, to rapidly scaling companies servicing blue-chip multinationals.

Lucey is at the forefront of cloud technology for the SME sector, partnering with local and multinational companies to offer online portals, payments, collaboration tools, mobile platforms and much more. We recently opened an office in Santa Monica and are actively seeking further investment opportunities.

Previously Ian has been Sales Director with Relate Software, a Deloitte Fast50 company, managed the Accountants Division in Sage Ireland and was Ireland’s youngest National Student Union officer. Ian has experience building and selling SaaS, ERP, Accounting, Time & Billing, CRM and Payments systems around the world.

Kimberly Patrick has served as an advisor to some of the brightest CEO’s, President’s, and Leaders. Kim is a Certified Business Coach and a driven entrepreneur. She became passionate about working with business owners as a child, while growing up in a family business. Kim has previously founded multiple companies in real estate development, recruiting, and fitness. Along with being the Chapter Director for StartupGrind Austin, Kim is deeply involved in the local startup community where she spends her time helping companies select and hire the right talent. Kim’s passion is connecting people and helping startups grow their organizations.

Leo Khin is a Founder, Thought Leader, and Advisor to some of the best and brightest CEO’s, Presidents, Owners, and Entrepreneurs in the Washington, DC and Baltimore regions. With a natural passion for entrepreneurship he’s had since childhood, Leo has founded multiple startups focused on technology and social impact. Along with being the Chapter Director for StartupGrind Baltimore, Leo is deeply involved in the local tech and startup communities. He is the Venture Advisor and a Lead Mentor for AccelerateDC, a MIT based mentorship program that aims to influence and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs and business leaders. He is currently the Cofounder of AMPlus, a Partner at Gratii, and sits on the Board of Advisors for various startups in the region.
