Ali is an investor in local startups as a partner in LiveOak, CTAN and Capital Factory. He has led Product and RD teams in large companies as well as startups. He led IBM security products in Austin until 2002, then joined a startup in Silicon Valley, called E2open, a cloud-based supply chain platform, as overall Technical leader helped grow the revenue to 50M per year. Most recently led the Bluecoat RD and cybersecurity product teams worldwide, through sales to Toma Bravo, Bain, and Symantec.
