A serial entrepreneur that started his first business at age 19, David has spent the last 20 years starting, building, and investing in early stage companies.

David Evans is the Founder of EasySeat Tickets as well as founder and CEO of Geode Software, a technology management consulting firm. Having started his first company at the age of 19, David has spent the majority of the last 20+ years building his own successful startups. With the launch of Geode Ventures in 2010, he has spent the last 9 years helping other start-ups via seed-stage investment and growth advisory services.

David founded EasySeat tickets, an online ticket reseller/retailer, in 2005 and hit the Inc. 500 by 2010. By 2015, when the company sold to an in-industry buyer, EasySeat was named a Tech Company to Watch by the Connecticut Technology Council, had been recognized for three consecutive years as one of the Marcum Tech Top 40 and had achieved Honor Roll status by being named to the Inc. 5000 list for five consecutive years.

Geode Software started in 2000 as custom software development firm, but by 2005, it had pivoted to a blended offshore model to focus on what Geode did best: define technology solutions. Via this service offering, David is currently the acting CTO for multiple firms ranging from $25-100M a year in revenue.

In 2003, David was named to the Hartford Business Journal’s “40 under 40” list of bright young executives. In 2011, Connecticut Magazine repeated that honor on their annual list. His community support efforts include being a major donor and supporter of the Cove Center For Grieving Children, a position on the Board of Directors of the UConn Club, and on the Mentorship committee of the United Way of Greater Dallas’ Social Innovation Accelerator.

David is a graduate of the University of Connecticut, a former Beneficial Hodson Scholar at Johns Hopkins University, holds a Certificate in Corporate Finance from Harvard University and maintains numerous technology certifications.
