Marc has founded 6 companies–4 of which are current market leaders in their respective spaces: the premier brick and mortar retail analytics company, a leading online retailer, a leading cloud based service provider, and a cutting-edge marketing service platform.
Marc’s largest success to date is Fonality–the leading cloud & open-sourced based unified communications competitor to Avaya and Cisco. Marc also founded: Sake Social, the largest online retailer and highest ranking online destination for all things Japanese sake, and Written.com, a content marketplace that pays bloggers for high performing content and repurposes that content, traffic and search ranking for brands to use on keyword targeted marketing campaigns.
Marc’s most recent startup, IdealSpot, is a commercial real estate application that matches tenants to their ideal locations and building owners and managers to their ideal tenants by applying machine-learning, predictive algorithms to big data.
Marc is also a partner/mentor for Austin’s tech incubator/fund(s) Capital Factory and Techstars, and invests and serves as a board member/advisor for a number of companies in the B2SMB/B2C spaces.
Marc has a BS in Finance and Accounting from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
