Margot Carter is a business builder in the fields of technology, construction and real estate.  She is the Lead Director, Chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee and a member of the Audit Committee of Installed Building Products NYSE:IBP, a member of the Nominating and Governance Committee and Audit Committee of Eagle Materials Inc. NYSE:EXP and serves on private boards, including the Freeman Company, the world’s largest brand experience business. She is also President of Living Mountain Capital and Co-Founder of www.cien.ai, an  artificial intelligence company for improving sales productivity.

Previously, Margot was a C-suite executive for global public companies including RealPage, Inc., a leading provider of software and data analytics to the real estate industry.  Margot holds a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and a B.A. from Binghamton University and a certificate in AI from MIT’s Sloan School. Margot serves on the executive committee of NACD North Texas and lead director steering committee for NACD. She regularly lectures at SMU’s business and law schools and speaks on panels across the country. She was named a 2019 Most Influential Director by Women Inc, 2020 Outstanding Director by the DBJ and 2020 Top 50 future Innovator and Disruptor by D Magazine.
