Mapware (fka Aerial Applications)

Aerial Applications is the only US based cloud first solution for high performance geospatial data processing. They use drones and AI to create maps that provide critical situational awareness for telecommunications and energy infrastructure assets. Using the data & insights, companies can repair outages twice as fast, saving time and money while delivering value with their customers' needs. The problem they are solving is historically this information was collected by people or bad satellite photos stitched together, which is both expensive and time consuming. They allow customers to process data quickly with extreme accuracy and deploy software on government clouds for easy access. Their customers are groups like the Airforce, NORA, Verizon and Comcast who sign large contracts to use Aerial Applications AI to process this data, they have a tier model for based on cloud usage. Currently, AFWERX is their largest customer with a 4 year exclusive federal contract via a STRATFI Award and they are on the path to become a program of record. In 2021, they plan on applying to 50 RFPS with an average contract value of $2M. The Aerial Applications team have been active members of the Capital Factory community since joining in 2018, and have made a point to meet and actively engage with virtually every member of the Innovation Council - including STS International, Accenture, AWS, BAE Systems, Booz Allen, Baker Botts, CISCO, Deloitte, IBM, L3Harris, Microsoft, Northrop Grumman, and SAIC. They have participated in the Dual Use Panel during Fed Supernova 2020, the Texas Startups Roadshow 2020, and were one three Capital Factory portfolio companies selected to receive a STRATFI Award from AFWERX.
