Jan Ryan

Jan has 30 years experience as technology executive and entrepreneur resulting in four successful acquisitions and one IPO. Specializing in predictive and social analytics, SaaS, and customer experience management, she sold a company to Oracle in 2006, and her latest venture Social Dynamx was acquired by Lithium Technologies in 2012. Jan is currently at the University of Texas serving as Director of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and clinical professor of Creative Entrepreneurship, helping to bring human-centered design and entrepreneurship to creative students in the School of Design and Creative Technologies, which includes 2 and 3D gaming, VR, AR, Artificial intelligence and Design Thinking. Jan has extensive operational experience in optimizing early stage revenue, including a framework for acquiring and attracting early adopters. Having built industry-recognized sales teams in both public and privately held companies, she is able to share best practices and a unique metrics-based approach for optimizing SaaS or enterprise sales teams, customer growth and LTV. As one of the earliest champions for women entrepreneurs in Austin, Jan founded the org Women@Austin in 2014 which has grown to over 1000 members, a 100% giveback organization which supports and equips female entrepreneurs in their journey.
