Jim recently moved to Austin and serves as an advisor and board member to multiple startups.

Previously Jim co-founded SoFi.  Originally a peer to peer lender focused on post-graduate student loans, today SoFi operates in the student loan, mortgage, personal loan, wealth management and life insurance verticals.  Prior to his departure from SoFi, Jim was most recently responsible for launching SoFi’s mortgage offering.  Over his time at SoFi, Jim was responsible for many areas including operations, product, finance and legal.

Jim is a graduate of Rice University (BA in Managerial Studies / BS in Electrical Engineering) and Stanford’s Graduate School of Business (MBA).  In between his time at Rice and Stanford Jim was a consultant in Accenture’s Electronics & High Tech Strategy practice.
