Shakeel Rashed is an experienced technologist, entrepreneur and coach. He has been in the business of software and consulting for more than 20 years at the forefront of all emerging technologies and transitions, from client-server to web to social, cloud to mobile/Internet of things. He has worked in major of industries, including Finance, Telecom, Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Goods, Advertising, Distribution, Retail, Oil and Gas.
He moved to Austin, TX with pcOrder.com/Trilogy and there managed to grow the revenue for one of their largest customer, HP. Shakeel then founded Olivesystems, a provisioning software and Operation Support Systems for smaller Telcos (CLECs). This was done in collaboration with large network equipment suppliers to Telcos such as Cisco and Copper Mountain. After Olivesystems, Shakeel moved back to the consulting world with eFORCE, a firm started by executives from Siebel and Cambridge Technology Partners. He especially enjoyed projects aligning business strategy with technology architectures. Working with CEO of eFORCE, Shakeel transformed eFORCE from pure play consulting to scalable business model incubator by launching Treasury Sciences and context.com.
He has an engineering degree in Computer Science and Engineering from India, masters in Management Sciences from George Washington University and completed the Program for Leadership Development from Harvard Business School. Avid reader of nonfiction, firm believer of Marc Andreesen’s software is eating your world, Shakeel is fascinated with technology and how it effects every sphere of our life. He mentors several startups and serves on non-profits related to STEM and Arts.
