Suresh Narayanan

Suresh Narayanan grew up in an entrepreneurial aerospace environment all his life thanks to the enterprising spirit of his parents. His mother and father came from South India which is where they met and got married. His father was a Concorde aircraft mechanic who immigrated to the United States with entrepreneurial dreams in mind and their mother was an accounting guru with a strong passion for the numbers in business. While working any job available to provide for their three sons, the Narayanan’s were living paycheck to paycheck in a trailer home in one of the most crime-saturated areas in Miami, Florida. Something had to change so they took a leap and started their own business from nothing. They quickly grew their business with the mentality that through well-thought-out engineering solutions, they could create repair options for components that did not currently exist in the industry. The prevailing mindset in the industry rested solely on the original manufacturer to provide solutions to repairs and alterations in the aerospace sector. Suresh’s parents rejected the idea that original manufacturers were the only solution and the vision for Suresh’s first entrepreneurial endeavor AQRD was born. It was not a fairy tale ending though. Suresh’s parents had to shut down their business which was not part of the plan. This left Suresh in disarray as he was in his undergraduate studies when this floor dropped out from under him. He did not have a home to go back to in Miami during this time and had to figure out things for himself. This unfortunate circumstance pushed Suresh to work his way through school and learn from business owners to create his own new future. This family failure fueled the chip on his shoulder to do anything it takes to succeed on his own which he still uses to fuel passion for business.​Suresh received his bachelor’s in Science from Florida State University, as well as a master’s degree in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University with a dual focus on Strategy and Entrepreneurship. Suresh is a graduate of the Dallas Regional Chamber’s Leadership Dallas Class of 2015 as one of its youngest members and was honored to join the Dallas Business Journal’s 2017 Top 40 Under 40 recognizing bold innovators among North Texas business leaders. Suresh is also a member of the Young Presidents Organization “YPO” which is global leadership community of chief executives . Suresh believes it is fundamental to maintain his big-hearted civic involvements and finds it very rewarding to share his signature “People First” mindset with his community. Suresh is the proud father of two sons, Ace(3) and Remy(1) with his wife Amber. Suresh joined Aerospace Quality Research and Development MRO, LLC, (“AQRD”), in August of 2012 as a Partner and Vice President of Business Operations and worked his way to President. He worked aggressively and strategically to take AQRD from the start-up phases to a nationally recognized brand, achieving tremendous results in just a few short years. Through Suresh’s leadership, AQRD grew 100% year over year the last three years and was distinguished in 2012,2015, and 2021 as one of the Dallas 100 – an annual list released by Southern Methodist University naming the 100 Fastest Growing Companies in North Texas. To put it another way: AQRD eclipsed $20 million in sales from when the company first started. Suresh has pushed AQRD onto the INC.5000 top private business list 5 years in a row, as well as AQRD being a Florida State University Top 100 Business in 2021. The amazing part of this was Suresh did this without ever having any debt our outside shareholders in the business which is extremely rare! Suresh even got his pilot’s license during the startup phase just to prove to doubters that he could learn how to operate the aircraft he would have to support. Suresh recently in 2021 successfully exited AQRD while remaining as a partner and on the executive board for the business. The reason for this was to pursue his passion for investing and partnering with other businesses to help them grow.
