Feasti is a community-based food platform for local certified home cooks to share homemade meals with their neighbors. There are different varieties of home cooks -- some do full catered meals, some specialize in just one meal (lunch or dinner), some have specific cuisines or food types that they focus on (Indian food, parathas, cupcakes/sweet treats for special occasions). The ways to discover these different chefs is fragmented, however. Customers have to toggle between Instagram, Facebook, word of mouth, text, WhatsApp ... Feasti is the marketplace to discover, order, and manage interactions with different chefs.Monetization strategy:1. Feasti will charge for delivery and fees will range from $5-$30 per subscription depending on distance, surge hours, location, etc. 70%%20of users opt for delivery while 30%%20prefer to pick up their orders from the chefs.2. Additionally, Feasti applies a 8%%20commission on the base price of subscription orders received by home chefs.3. There are two types of advertising options available on Feasti -- paid banner advertisements and paid listings on top available HomeChefs.4. There is a service fee of 2%%20for users in the subscription plan subtotal.5. One-time chef signup charge of $80***Home chef certification:To become certified as a home cook, one must undergo a process that includes completing a food handler's course, adhering to specific food safety and labeling guidelines, and registering with the local health department. Certification is usually granted by culinary schools, professional organizations, or industry associations. Additionally, the Feasti safety team conducts kitchen visits and follows an internal safety guide checklist to ensure the home chefs' kitchens meet all safety standards before they are approved by Feasti.
